Show Briscoe eyes school board Iff f ill mmtm . ,;!:: WK'W( .... 1- ilKSl The Committee to re-elect Ray Briscoe to the Davis County School Board announces his candidacy for re-election. Mr. Briscoe moved to Davis County in 1956. During a one year sabbatical from teaching in Davis County, Dr. Briscoe was a teaching assistant at the University of Utah in both education and political science. He taught American government j and supervised classroom teachers during their first student teaching. Dr. Briscoe is more than an educator. educa-tor. He understands the business world. He was a founding partner and president of Wasatch Opinion Research Corporation. During his management it was the best known private research firm in Utah. Ray Briscoe's research expertise has been requested in evaluating both school boards and superintendents. superinten-dents. He has participated as an educational edu-cational consultant both in and out of Utah. He consulted in the Logan- Cache and the Juab-Sanpete-Tintic school consolidation studies during the last year. Dr. Briscoe has developed a communication com-munication seminar that has been used by schools and business to improve im-prove company production and service ser-vice to the public. This seminar has " been used by school districts and several corporations from Kanab to Davis County in the north. His professional expertise has been volunteered as a member of the Governor's Task Force on Education Educa-tion in the 80's, Committee of Fifteen, Fif-teen, Bicentennial Reaffirmation of our Federal System of Government, a member of the board of directors of the Salvation Army, Listeners' Community Radio of Utah, Inc., Utah Alliance for Progress People to People Program with Bolivia, etc. Dr. Briscoe is currently employed as a researcher in the Research and Evaluation Department of the LDS Church.
