Show YOUNG VET FARMER TO RECEIVE WOO IRRIGATED FARM AS GIFT A search for the "most worthy farm veteran" to be awarded lree a new 80-acre, fully developed, irrigated tarra is being- conducted by the Veterans of Foreign Wars, according- to Utah State Commander Ilarrv B. Miller. A statewide program to determine Utah's winning candidate candi-date for the prize farm, valued at $50,000, is now under wav and must be concluded bv Feb. 1, 1052, Mr. Miller said. The fully developed, irrigated farm to be .given away in the State of Washington between May 22 and June 1, 1952, is situated sit-uated near Moses Lake, Wash., a growing community of 4,000 inhabitants lying 120 miles southwest of Spokane. While the campaign is being spearheaded thru the 51 posts and their auxiliaries in Utah, the V F W commander appealed to the general public to help find Utah's strongest representative represent-ative in the unique search. "It would be most fitting if the eventual winner should come from the state where modern mod-ern irrigation was born and which is also distinguished for its record in the armed services," serv-ices," Mr. Miller said.
