Show to go. Kanab finally plunged over on fourth down. Milford was inside Kanab s 15-yard line three times, but the Titters were unable to score. Myers Crane, Waite and Fisher played good defensive ball in the line. Stoker, Murphy Mur-phy and Turner were outstanding outstand-ing in the backfield. Bobby Davis played the entire game after the other center, Brim-bcrry, Brim-bcrry, was injured in the accident, acci-dent, and did a fine job. TIGERS LOSE FINE FOOTBALL GAME TO KANAB ELEVEN By MARION WALKER In the last game of the season, sea-son, at Kanab last Thursday i afternoon, Milford lost a hard- fought game to the Kanab Tigers, 13-0. Half of the Milford team members were involved in an auto accident en route to the game, and two of the players i and the team manager had to be left at Cedar City. The last two cars arrived at Kanab about 3 o'clock, and the game got under way at 3:30. The Milford team was at a disadvantage disad-vantage in being' unable to rest before game time. The field was covered with water and Milford was unable to use their passing attack, and had to play straight football most of the time, usually kicking kick-ing on third down because of the slippery ball. Stoker kept Kanab in the hole all afternoon with his fine punting. Kanab scored early in the first quarter on a right end run and converted, to lead 7-0. Milford's defense stiffened and they played on even terms for the rest of the game. The other Kanab score came as the result of a 15-yard penalty, putting the ball on the Milford 5-yard line, with first and goal |
