Smith was hostess to the Thursday Night Bridge club of Friday evening, Oct. 21. After a dessert lunch, the time was spent at bridge, with i prizes being awarded to Mrs. E. L. Outzen, Mrs. V. L. Boucher Bouch-er and Mrs. George Moore. Others present were Mrs. J. R. Murdock, Mrs. J. H. Weston, Mrs. Sam Cline and Mrs. D. E. Kirk. Tuesday visitors in Milford were Mrs. Cyrus Osborn of Beaver and Mrs. Orrin Osborn and three children, Sherie, -'y Michael and Bill, of Long Beach, Calif. They were attending at-tending the party of 9-year-old Colleen Hutchings, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lorin Hutchings. Mr. and Mrs. Orrin Osborn are spending their vacation in Beaver Beav-er with Orrin's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Cyrus Osborn. ' TRY A CLASSIFIED AD LADY LIOXS MEET AT ROYAL CLUB CAFE In a setting of Halloween decorations the Lady Lions held their regular dinner and social meeting at the Royal Club Cafe last Thursday evening. eve-ning. A very tasty five-course dinner was prepared by Mrs. Minnie Leritich, manager. President Grace Jefferson introduced in-troduced three new members, Mrs. Nettie Kirk, Mrs. Enid Johnson and Mrs. Zelma Kirk, and Mrs. Freda Hawkins, an invited in-vited guest. Monte Carlo whist was the evening's entertainment, with Mrs. Zelma Kirk, Mrs. Stella Persons and Mrs. Elaine Archer receiving the prizes. Hostesses for the evening were Mrs. Jeanette Kohler and Mrs. Barbara Bar-bara Mayer. Mrs. H. G. Baker returned to her home in Pocatello, Idaho, last Sunday after visiting for four days with her son and ' daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. I George H. Baker. COLLEEN HUTCHINGS HAS BIRTHDAY Happy Birthday, Colleen Hutchings, 9-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lorin Hutchings. Hutch-ings. Colleen's birthday is this Friday, Oct. 28th, but a birthday birth-day party was given in her honor Tuesday afternoon. Her fourth grade schoolmates were invited, and cousin Bonnie Bon-nie Bradshaw, Grandma Lucy Osborne of Beaver, Aunt Marian Mar-ian Osborn and three cousins, Sherie, Michael and Bill, . of Long Beach, Calif. Bingo, and outdoor games were played, prizes being won by Sheila Dalton, Gary Chamberlain, Cham-berlain, and Sheila Coleman. Refreshments were served at the close of the party. PARTY HONORS CONNIE HOLBROOK On Oct. 20th a well-planned birthday party was given for Connie Holbrook, 7-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Don C. Holbrook. The children had fun playing games, after which they were seated at a table decorated with Halloween accessories. Noise-makers Noise-makers were favors. Hot dogs, cake, punch and Halloween candies were served to Gale and Mary Edwards, Sue Ann Thompson, Sherie Lish, Charlotte Char-lotte Edwards, Helen TTean Gillins, Gil-lins, Judy Horton, Dixie Roberts, Rob-erts, Sally Williams, Janice Skillicorn, Sharrel Dawson, Susan Su-san McCulley, Marlene Moore, Grade Miller, Sharon Nichols and Sandra Beard. UTAH PRODUCTS ESSAY CONTEST CLOSES SOON Closing date for the "Utah Products" essay contest, sponsored spon-sored by the Utah Manufacturers Manufac-turers Association,, is Saturday, November 5th. The contest is open to all high school students, and besides be-sides many "Utah Surprise Package" prizes, U S Savings Bonds will be awarded the top winners. Menzies Benson of Cedar City and Frank Sutherland of Beaver, Mountain States managers man-agers for their respective counties, coun-ties, were in Milford on Tel and Tel business Wednesday. Mrs. Jennie Colborn of Lava Hot Springs, Idaho, is enjoying a two-week visit at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Robert B. Colborn. |
