Show SHS 'Senior of the Week' Dwight Bird, this week's "Senior Student of the Week" is the son of Joseph Reed and LaNae Bird, Mapleton. Dwight is currently serving as senior class vice president. Dwight has participated on the Springville High football team and lettered as a junior and as a senior. He is participating partici-pating in the wrestling program pro-gram this year. Dwight is a member of the Mapleton Second Ward, and plays on his ward's Junior M Men basketbal lteam. He has also graduated from the LDS Seminary program. Dwight is currently a member mem-ber of the National Forensic League (NFL). He is also an active member of the Athletics Club. Some of Dwight's favorite favor-ite hobbies are skiing and swimming. He is also interested in mechanics. Despite Dwight's many activities ac-tivities he manages to maintain main-tain a 3.5 grade point average. After high school graduation, he plans to attend the BYTJ.
