Show Author tells club of writing experience Emma Jacobson hosted the Ladies Literary Club members at her home last Thursday where seventeen club members attended an enjoyable club meeting. Leean Winger, granddaughter of the hostess, entertained with violin selections, accompanied by Mrs. Allred. A daughter and daughter-in-law, Jerri Winger and Flora Jacobson, assisted at the club meeting. The club collect was given by Manila Brown. President Bertha Johnson was in charge. Jessie Dalton, program chairman chair-man for the event, introduced Ruth Partridge, author, as the guest speaker. Mrs. Partridge told of writing and its interests inter-ests and stated she is curently writing a novel, "Other Drums" which is concerning her family and the hardships of Her pioneer pio-neer ancestors. She also entertained enter-tained with piano selections of yesteryear. The next club will be held December 11 at the home of Jessie Dalton and it will be in the form of a Christmas party. |
