Show Centennial Ball Saturday commemorates founding 'Hfc ill - a l 4k Jim r , mm- 1 A Centennial Ball commemorating commem-orating 100 years of the Young Women's Mutual Improvement Association will be held Saturday Satur-day at 8:30 p.m. in the Spring-ville Spring-ville Stake House under the direction of the MIA stake organization or-ganization of both Kolob and Springville stakes. MIA executives, exec-utives, dance directors and board members from the two stakes are working with various var-ious committees to make this a memorable event. Invited to the ball are those 14 years of age and older. Dress is semi-formal for the ladies la-dies or best dress and best dress for the men. As a special feature of the evening's entertainment, Mrs. Virgil Bluth of Mapleton will present a dress review during the floor show at 10 p.m. Models Mo-dels will wear authentic costumes cos-tumes representing various eras of the past hundred years. Also part of the floor show will be dances of other eras. Dancing the Elizabethan Quadrille Qua-drille are Richard and Vicki Jensen, Rick Whiting and Dixie Dix-ie Vallentine, Bonnie Whiting and Doug Bartholomew, Christine Chris-tine Craig and Darrell Bartholomew, Barthol-omew, Robert Stokes and Gay Lynn Haws, Garth Peay and Nina Woodbury, John and Penny Pen-ny Weatherly, Dale and Melba Jarman. One of the all-time favorites, the Charleston, will be danced w "mrnth. BALL DECORATIONS READY Under the direction of slake leaders the Springville Stake House will be converted into a festive place where ders!on In keening with the centennial theme will enhance the setting for the ball Saturday Sat-urday night. In a room called the "Tintype "Tin-type Shop" those who would like a special memento may have their pictures taken. A small charge will be made for these photos. Special decorations for the lovely occasion will be in evidence evi-dence and have been under the direction of Mr .and Mrs. Kelly Kel-ly Isom. Working with them are Judy Law, Pat Cbnover, Mr. and Mrs. Robert McCon-nell, McCon-nell, Mr. and Mrs. Garald Jensen, Jen-sen, Mr. and Mrs. Bob Gentry, Harry Wind, Kathy Bredesen, Leanne Williams,, Linda Chris-tensen Chris-tensen and Nanette Orme. Helping with publicity and posters are Ina Bartholomew, Julie Gividen, Joyce Naranjo, Evelyn Weight, Anne Howes, Cay Howes, Peggy Richmond and Sharon Wilson, One of the special features also of the cenntennial celebration celebra-tion at the dance, will be the introduction of the invited guests who will be present. These include all the past presidents pres-idents of Kolob and Springville. |
