Ariadne May Tippetts Saturday rites held here for Mrs. Tippetts Bishop Harold Whiting oi the Third Ward directed funeral fun-eral services Saturday at the Berg Mortuary for Ariadne May Tippetts, 80, of 106 West 300 North who died December 25, 1968 at the Utah Valley Hospital of a sudden illness. Interment was in the Spanish Fork City Cemetery. She was born September 13, 1888, in Rockland, Idaho, a daughter of Jude Allen and Rosalie Perry May. She married mar-ried William Arthur Tippetts on April 2, 1905, in Big Horn Basin, Wyoming. Their marriage mar-riage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died July 9, 1961. Mrs. Tippetts received her early education in Idaho, and moved with her family to Lov-ell, Lov-ell, Wyoming in 1904. Following her marriage she and her husband made their home in Thermopolis, Wyoming Wyom-ing and returned to Lovell in 1910, where they lived for 12 years. In 1922 they moved to Spanish Span-ish Fork, then to Tacoma, Wash., and later to Great Falls, Mont. For the past 18 years they had made their home In Springville. Her husband had been a farmer most of his life. Active in the LDS Church, Mrs. Tippetts had served in the Relief Re-lief Society. Her hobbies included reading, read-ing, politics and current events. Survivors include six sons and four daughters, Clifford A. Tippetts, Kalispell, Montana; Blake M. Tippetts, Fort Shaw, Mont.; Wayne M. Tippetts, Boise, Idaho; Wilber M. Tippetts, Tip-petts, Salt Lake City; Lynn M. Tippetts, Tacoma, Wash.; Mrs. LeRoy C. (May) Harrington, Harring-ton, Springville; Mrs. Andre (Marie) Wartena, San Jose, California; Mrs. Heber (Erma) Robb and LaVere M. Tippetts, both of Mapleton, and Mrs. William (June) Newman, Hawthorne, Haw-thorne, California; 44 grandchildren; grand-children; 40 great grandchildren, grandchild-ren, six great great grandchildren grandchild-ren and five brothers and four sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Tippetts, Hurricane; Mrs. Nellie Grant, Layton; Mrs. Lucy Tippetts, Provo; Mrs. Ralph (Glayds) Wilderson, Oliver May and Allen Al-len May, all of Lovell, Wyoming; Wyom-ing; Frank May, Caldwell, Ida.; Hyrum May, Phoenix, Arizona; and Morgan May, Hinckley. |
