Show Monday blaze at trailer home destroys building, contents The trailer home belonging to Mr. and Mrs. Sam Roberts at the mouth of Hobble Creek Canyon was completely destroyed destroy-ed by fire Monday afternoon and the couple's clothing and belongings went up in smoke with the uncontrollable blaze. Cause of the conflagration was a butane burner, firemen reported, which, in the explos-on, explos-on, blew Mr Roberts across the room, but fortunately did not burn or harm him other than fo frighten him considerably. The mishap occurred at 3:30 Alcnday. When firemen arrived on the scene with all equipment, they were forced to break into the dwelling with axes and use respirators res-pirators because of the dense smoke which had done much, damage. As soon as the building build-ing was broken into and air fanned through, the entire structure broke into a blazing blaz-ing inferno and most of the building was a total loss including includ-ing clothes and furnishings. The total damage reported was $4000. It was not covered by insurance firemen stated. |
