Show Report addresses Local aliens reminded of registration time Claude P. Kidder, officer in charge, Immigration and Naturalization Na-turalization Service, Salt Lake City, advised that during January Jan-uary all aliens, except diplomats diplo-mats and accredited members of certain international organizations, organi-zations, are required to report their addresses. The Alien Address Report Form 1-53 will be available at all post offices and Immigra- tion and Naturalization offices during the month of January. The cards should be completely filled out and returned to a clerk of these offices. Cards should not be mailed Mr. Kidder stated those aliens al-iens desiring information regarding re-garding naturalization or other immigration matters should apply ap-ply at an Immigration Office where trained personnel will be available to answer their inquiries. in-quiries. Permanent residents who have lost their alien registration regis-tration cards will be furnished applications for new cards at the Immigration Office. Every permanent resident is required by law to have an alien registration reg-istration card. Mr. Kidder stated that possession pos-session or presentation of a Social Security card is not evidence evi-dence of permission from the Immigration and Naturalization Service for the alien to work in the United States. Neither does it establish evidence of lawful residence in the United States. Aliens who work in the United States in violation of law may be subject to certain cer-tain penalties. It is urged that persons file early in January. |
