Show Mr., Mrs. Ronald Christensen at home here Now at hime in Springville are Mr. and Mrs. Ronald B. Christensen who were married September 13 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple with Elder Gordon Gor-don C. Young performing the ceremony. The bride is the former Barbara Bar-bara Ann White, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert V. White, Jr., and the bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Cleon Christensen of Mapleton. Parents of the groom hosted a wedding luncheon at the Oak Crest Inn. In the evening the bridal party greeted friends and relatives at a beautifully appointed reception at the First-Twelfth Ward Cultural Hall. The wedding party greeted greet-ed their many guests before a backdrop of gold and pink columns col-umns with French draped netting net-ting sparkling with miniature lights. Two beautiful baskets on columns were filled with pink and lavender gladioli and green fernery with a lavender ribbon. One of the baskets was mounted in the arms of aj huge doll figure statue in the corner of the gift table. Christensen, nee Barbara Ann White, prior to her marriage in the Salt Lake Temple. ivory Crystaline gown with over-lay bodice and long, tapered ta-pered sleeves in chantilly lace and a scalloped neckline . A double satin bow with tiny seed pearls held the rnantia chapel-length chapel-length veil in place which was appliqued with sprays of chantilly chan-tilly lace the full length of thG veil. She carried a bridal bouquet, bou-quet, which was a cascade arrangement ar-rangement of pink roses and lily of the valley encircling a white orchid. Her maid of honor, a sister, Sue White, wore a floor-length gown of lavender dotted Swiss, trimmed at the neck and sleeves in white lace. Four bridesmaids, Susan DeR o s e, Sharon Bringhurst, Jeanne Vane, Sharon Tipton, all wore floor-length dresses of pink dotted Swiss trimmed with white lace. Ranae Christensen, junior bridesmaid, was in lavender lav-ender dotted Swiss. They held nosegays of pink lavender. Mothers of the bride and groom were attired In lavender floor-length gowns of French crepe and wore pink carnation corsages. John Perrero of Mapleton stood as best man, with Gil White, HI, Keith White and Larry Christensen assisting in the line. Steven Tuttle and Paul Boman acted as ushers. Welcoming guests at the Soor were Mr. and Mrs. Louis E. Buhrley of Huntsville and Mr. and Mrs. Rulon Gammon of Vineyard. Special host and hostesses were Mr. and Mrs. Leon Vincent, Mrs. Charles Lewis and Mrs. Paul Hjorth. In the gift room were Mrs. Paul Jensen, Mrs. Ed Roundy, Mrs. Marian Roper, Vickie Vincent, Jane Snelson, Marie Clark and Marilyn Peay. Serving Serv-ing were Julie Cloward, Christine Chris-tine Wilson, Debbie, Margo and Becky Fechser and Ruth Roundy. Roun-dy. Gift bearers were Kelley and Annette Chapman. A beautiful wedding, cake four-tiered , with the bottom lawer heart-shaped, was decorated dec-orated in pink and lavender with roses and lilly of the valley val-ley and topped with white wedding bells clustered in white ribbon. Gold columns, lace trimmed, supported each layer. Special organ music was rendered ren-dered by Mrs. Maurice Bird throughout the evening and vocal solos by uncles of the bride, Earl H. Martin and J. Wells Martin of Salt Lake City were sung. After the reception the couple cou-ple loft on a honeymoon to Las Vegas and Los Angeles stopping stop-ping off at Disneyland. The groom has resumed his studies at the BYU. Among hostesses for a pre-nuptial pre-nuptial party were Mrs. Doug Bringhurst and Mrs. Gary De-Rose. |
