Show Wesfside plans 'back-io-schooi'; Sage Creek schedules Yoond-up' I Back-to-school opening social for the Westside School will be held tonight from 7 to 8 p.m. under the direction of Wallace Wal-lace Peterson, president. A fhig raising ceremony will be .directed by . junior -Girl Scouts, Troop 24, including Sarah Lowe, Corinne Lazenby, Kathryn Ann Gonzales and Cindy Beardall. A program will be held and refreshments served. All parents par-ents of students in the school are invited to attend. Officers in charge of the PTA activities for the year include: in-clude: Wallace Peterson, president; presi-dent; Mrs. JD Dalton, first vice president; Sterling Swen-son, Swen-son, principal, second vice president; Mrs. Verl Wiser, secretary; Mr. and Mrs. Packard Pack-ard Condie, public relations and historian; Mrs. Wallace Peterson, Peter-son, health; Mr .and Mrs. JD Dalton, safety and juvenile protection; pro-tection; Mrs. Charles Bowles, Mrs. Fred Diamond, project; Mrs. Chris Gonzales, citizen- ship; Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Friel, scholarship; Mrs. Larry Wolf-ley. Wolf-ley. magazine; Mrs. Wendell Erdman, program; Carl Wilson, parent education. Sage Creek School The" "Sage Creek Elementary School will stage a Western Roundup Fair Friday, October 4 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., at the school under the direction direc-tion of PTA officers and school teachers and students. The event will be similar to the carnival held in years past and will include hobby displays created by the students. Each child is asked to bring his display dis-play for the big event. Each exhibitor will be given a ribbon rib-bon for displaying at the fair. Along with the various booths, will be food 'booths and also home made candy and drinks for sale, since the project pro-ject is designed to help raise funds to purchase new books at the school this year. Outside the building will be pony rides, cars and Tote Gote rides available for the students. At the PTA meeting held last week, President Judy Robertson Rob-ertson took charge. Viva Bird gave a special tribute Dixie Farr explained the past projects held at the school and of the displays that were shown during the evening. Linda Lin-da Weight, project chairman announced the fair Principal Lee Ralphs introduced intro-duced Dean Jones who gave an interesting talk on the Remedial Re-medial Center, its purposes and accomplishments in this field. |
