Show Traditional events planned I , k f I A- ,v - , , , , . v - ' c: x'- -v 4.,. ... - J Springville High School's annual homecoming and football game will be held Friday and will include an assembly, parade, football game and dance. During the morning an assembly as-sembly will be held at 10 a.m. at which time the graduating grad-uating class of 1949 will put the assembly on. The class will be honored and feted throughout the day's activities activi-ties at the school. They will meet at 12 noon at the art building for dinner with reservations res-ervations under the direction direc-tion of Beverly Child Johnson. John-son. At 6 o'clock the big homecoming parade will be seen and will form at the Berg Mortuary on Fourth South and will travel west to Main Street and north to Fourth North. Floats will be entered by students, clubs and organizations. A $25.00 prize for the best decorated classes or club float will be offered to the winner. A $5 prize will go to the best decorated student car. Winning Win-ning floats will be seen and recognized at halftime activities ac-tivities at the Springville-Carbon Springville-Carbon football game at the North Park beginning at 7:30 p.m. Pep club members of the school will perform and float prizes will be awarded at this time. After the football game a dance will be held in the cafeteria at the school to which members of the class of 1949 will be invited free as special guests. The class will also be guests at the Carbon-Springville football contest. A preliminary to the big homecoming events will be a huge bonfire pep rally tonight to-night at 7 p.m. at the high school. Reigning over the activities activi-ties for the day will be the homecoming royalty, Elene Simonson as queen. She is the daughter of Leigh Simonson. Si-monson. First attendant is Judy Daybell with second attendant, Jeannine Benally. DINO FOR PARADE One of Mio floats being constructed by students is this one by the junior class which will feature a large green Carbon Dino being chased by a lied Devil. The homecoming parade is scheduled sched-uled for 6 p.m. Friday and will form at the Berg Mortuary and continue west to Main Street and then north to Peay's Market. |
