Then the council studies the feasibility of the proposal, pro-posal, consults authorities, collects information and suggestions, and presents this material to either representative rep-resentative groups or to the general committee to W. L. (Bish) Snelson, a four-year member of the city coordinating council -has been named chairman of the organization. He succeeds Dr. Richard K. Miner, who has served as temporary chairman the past several months. Mr. Snelson, manager of Penney's since 1956, was president of the Chamber of Commerce in 1964 and has served on numerous committees w i t h in the Chamber. He is the Sixth Ward clerk and has been active in service groups in the city. The coordinating council, a finalist in the "Artists of Life" Community Service Awards competition last year, was organized in 1957 by the Chamber of Commerce. It was made up from every organization organiza-tion within the city and was reorganized four years later under the direction of the city council.
