Show Magician to aid Ninth Ward dinner and show Akido-san Beautifl Autumn Au-tumn anyway you look at her, something very nice has happened to magic and consequently conse-quently to the Ninth Ward's annual Belle Soiree, the dinner show set to take place April 27, 28 and 29. That something very nice is Bonnie Jean Babbel. Bab-bel. Tall and willowy, blue-eyed and brunette, just 21, she is irom Arlington, Virginia, in ner junior year at BYU. Using the Japanese phrase "Akido-san," meaning beautiful autumn, Miss Babbel presents an enchanting oriental magic act, costumed in rich kimonos and enlivened by graceful motions, mo-tions, particularly of the hands and fingers. The Ninth Ward will present Miss Babbel all three nights of Belle Soiree along with the five-course dinner, dinner entertainment, en-tertainment, art show and a post-dinner program. Others appearing during the three night stand are the Musettes; Robert Pierce, baritone; Beverly Bev-erly Kellersber g e r, violinist-marimbist; violinist-marimbist; the Don Schaefer Strings, and the Golden Hansen Quartet. One interesting feature fea-ture of the occasion is an exhibit ex-hibit by artists living in the ward. . Miss Babbel is an honor student stu-dent at the "Y" and is enrolled enroll-ed as a major in radio and television tele-vision communications and can be currently seen through the university's television outlet on a children's program called "Carousel."
