Graves to observe qolden weddinq Sunday Mr. and Mrs. James H. Graves will celebrate their golden gol-den wedding anniversary on Sunday, April 16, with an open house at which their sons and Barts Catering, 544 South Main, from 3 until 7 p.m. Friends and relatives are invited invit-ed to attend. They request no gifts. Active in LDS Church work throughout their lives, Mr. and Mrs. Graves have made their home in Springville for approximately ap-proximately forty years. He was born in Lake Shore April 18, 1894, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Joshua Graves and spent his early life in that community. com-munity. He farmed for a number num-ber of years and was later a foreman at Pacific States Cast Iron Pipe Co. He later was employed em-ployed at Geneva Steel. was born in Springville, June 25, 1899, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Hadfield, and she has made Springville her home always. She has served a stake mission mis-sion and has worked in genealogy. genea-logy. She has also been a Relief Re-lief Society and MIA teacher. The couple was married April Ap-ril 18, 1917, in the Salt Lake Temple. They reside at 545 E. 9th South. They are parents of six sons and daughters with five living as follows: Floyd Graves, Palm Springs, Calif.; Mrs. Rex (Thelma) Stewart, Benjamin; Mrs. Dean (Emma) Mason, Springville; Ronald Graves and Bishop Norman Graves of Mapleton. Ma-pleton. There are 25 grandchildren grandchil-dren and thirteen great grandchildren. Mr. Graves has filled two LDS stake missions and has served as a Senior Aaronic Priesthood leader. He has served serv-ed as chairman of the Genealogy Genea-logy Society in the First Ward and was head teacher eight years. He is a high priest. Both Mr. and Mrs. Graves have been teachers in Sunday School. They were called to the Great Lakes Mission a few years ago and have been serving serv-ing a temple mission at Manti Temple.
