Show High Honor Roll since ninth grade and is in the top 3 of her class, was chosen by the Cyprus Faculty as the "Girl Most Likely to Succeed." She has received a four-year scholarship schol-arship to BYU where she plans to major in theatre. Student earns Y scholarship Carol Jeanne Thorn, daughter daugh-ter of Mr. and Mrs. Scott Thorn of Kearns, formerly of Springville and granddaughter of Mrs. Maud B. Thorn of this city has been chosen a Sterling Ster-ling Scholar finalist in speech and drama. ! She has won many distinctions in her chosen field. She won the best address award and best Thespian award at Cyprus High School. She played the lead in the school musical "110 Degrees in The Sharde," directed the school play "Arsenic and Old Lace," as well as performing in "South Pacific," "You Can't Take It With You," "The Midnight Mid-night Caller," "Amahl and the Night Visitors," and many other productions. She won an award for her performance in her most recent role as "Ma" in "The Happy Journey." She has worked in stage crew on all the school productions.
