Show Jena Christensen, George Weight plan temple wedding, reception Announcement is made this week of the engagement of Miss Jena B. Christensen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs Horace Hor-ace Christensen of Springville, He graduated from Springville High School and LDS Seminary and recently filled a Southwest Indian LDS mission. 1 S . The wedding is being planned for June 9, to take place in thf Salt Lake LDS Temple. A reception re-ception will honor the coupk the followiing evening, June 10 in Kolob Stake House. The attractive bride-elect is a graduate of Richfield High School and LDS Seminary and received her degree from BYU. She is currently teaching English Eng-lish at Richfield Junior High. The groom-to-be is enrolled in his senior year at BYU, majoring ma-joring in English education. Legion Auxiliary entertains guests The American Legion Auxiliary Aux-iliary entertained at their annual an-nual Guest Day program honoring hon-oring Gold Star Mothers, Wednesday Wed-nesday evening of last week, at Memorial Hall. President Gladys Pennington was in charge. Marva Davis was program chairman and introduced Mrs. Dean Bird, who reviewed in interesting in-teresting manner the book, "How to Live 365 Days of the Year," enjoyed by all members mem-bers and guests. Edith Miner poppy poster chairman announced winner of the contest, Kelly Tuttle, first; Rich Kimrose second and Richard Rich-ard Johnson, third and they were presented checks. Mrs. Rebecca Fullmer distributed dis-tributed the poppies to the various var-ious members and asked for volunteers to help sell the poppies pop-pies on the streets, Saturday, May 28. Oher business was taken ta-ken up by the president. At the close of the meeting, refreshments were served by hostesses, Donna Harmer, Venice Ven-ice Beals, Edith Miner, Barbara Bar-bara Hafen, Melva Smith, Venice Ven-ice Beals and Floss Phillips. Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Harrison have as their guest, Mrs. Harrison's Har-rison's sister, Mrs. J. W. Young (Ethel Jenkins) of Alhambra, Calif., a former resident of Springville.
