Show Chamber office replaces booth for information The tourist information center cen-ter operated each summer on Main Street in Springville will be maintained this year in the Community Service Center (old library building), according to Jack Allen, president of the chamber of commerce. In the past a small booth on the highway has been maintained maintain-ed by the chamber in cooperation coopera-tion with Springville city. The change is being made so that facilities of the chamber office can be used. Daughters of Utah Pioneers who have their museum mu-seum in the Community Service Center also plan to have some of their members present each afternoon in costume to conduct con-duct visitors through the pioneer pio-neer museum. This will be an experiment to see how the change in location will work. In the meantime the information booth will be moved from the corner of the G. S. Wood Co., and will be stored until it is determined whether or not it is needed. Ned Schoell is chairman of the tourist and recreation committee com-mittee and is working on the preparation of signs and other details. |
