Show Spring luncheon concludes club meets A' spring luncheon at the Community Service Center on Friday afternoon of last week, marked the close of the club activity for this year for members mem-bers of the Alpha Beta Club. Mrs. Thomas Smith, president, was in charge. Mrs. George D Clyde, Salt Lake City, was the speaker giving highlights of travels of her and her husband during the years he served as governor. She was introduced by Mrs. Earl Condie. Mrs. Darren Hayes Hay-es entertained with piano selections. se-lections. A nicely arranged spring luncheon was served at small tables preceding the program. The tables were decorated with May baskets of flowers and tiny baskets were given as favors. fav-ors. The retiring president, Mrs. Thomas Smith, expressed thanks to the club officers for their cooperation and turned the gavel to Mrs. Earl Goates. Mrs. Goates paid tribute to Mrs. Smith and presented her with a lovely corsage and gift. Special guests at the program pro-gram were Mrs. Fayne Laney and Mrs. Arthur Condie. Hostesses for the afternoon were Mrs. Emil Ostlund, Mrs. William Witney, Mrs. Dimick Huntington, Mrs. G. Ray Hales, Mrs. Erling Roylance, Mrs. Sheldon Nielson, Mrs. W. W. Clyde. |
