Ladies Literary Club Julia Sumsion will be hostess to members of the Ladies Literary Lit-erary Club at her home this evening at 7:30 p.m. She will also be in charge of the music program. Legion Auxiliary The November meeting of the Legion Auxiliary will be held next Wednesday, announces announ-ces President Gladys Pennington. Penning-ton. The Legion and partners are being invited as special guests. Mrs Inez Chader is chairman. All will meet at the Hall at 7:30 p.m. for short business bus-iness and the showing of a 20-mmute 20-mmute Civil Defense film under un-der the direction of Louis Thorpe, civil defense chairman for this city. Later the group will go to the junior high school for a tour of the 200-bed 200-bed hospital and other emergency emer-gency facilities, directed by Mr. Thorpe. Springvile Federated Rlusic Club The November meeting of the Springville Federated Music Mu-sic Club will be held Friday at 8 p.m., at the home of Mrs. Carol Manwaring. The first les son of the course of study will be given by Ellen Anderson and the program books will be distributed to members. East-South Utah County DUP A meeting of the East-South Utah County DTJP is announced announ-ced for Thursday, (today) at 2 p.m., in the Second-Eighth Ward Church, under direction of President Mary Smart. All camp officers and committees are especially urged to attend. Fifth Ward bazaar The Fifth Ward Relief Society So-ciety is sponsoring a bazaar Friday, November 5, at 5 p.m., in the Springville Stake House. Theme of the event will be "Happy Harvest," featuring supper at 6 p.m. also with baked goods, candy and other items and all kinds of handiwork, handi-work, quilts, rugs, novelty items, Christmas gifts and decorations dec-orations for sale, announces President LaVern Jensen. Home Culture Club Mrs. Richard K. Miner will be hostess to members of the Home Culture Club at her home at 3 p.m. Friday, Nov. 5. Speaker will be Lewis Cran-dall Cran-dall of Provo, new ski project manager, who will talk on "Four Seasons." |
