Show Bridge lessons offered CEDAR CITY Bridge for Beginners, a popular evening school class offered for the first time last spring, will be offered again fallquarter at Southern Utah State college. Registration for the non-credit class can be completed on the first day of instruction, Sept. 30, or at any time before then with the SUSC Division of Continuing Education, Old Administration Ad-ministration Building 203. Class will be on Thursdays, Sept. 30 through Nov. 18, from 7 to 9 p.m. in Old Administration Ad-ministration 301. Verniece Rember and Afton Stepley are the course instructors. Between them they have over 30 years experience playing bridge. They contend that once one learns the basic point count and a few rules, playing bridge is a fun and fascinating card game. There will be no tests,v Stapley said. "We're playing strictly for fun." Stapley can be contacted for more information at 586-6666. "We've expanded the workshop from six to eight sessions so students will have plenty of time to learn the basics of the game," Rember said. "The final session will be a bridge party complete with prizes." A $20 non-credit fee will be charged. |
