Show Chinese Magic Circus set for Cedar beautiful traditional dances. It is a show for the whole family. The grace and precision of the acrobats are the triumph of years of dedicated training and discipline, but their art was formed by centuries of tradition. Chinese acrobatics are in fact more than a series of stunts. Most of the acts were created and performed per-formed in China as far back as 200 B.C., and have always been an integral part of the Chinese culture and the arts. Many of these acts clearly demonstrate the achievement of perfection per-fection through finding harmony .', between mind and body - an ancient concept in the Orient. The show also features Kung-Fu demonstrationsextraordinary demon-strationsextraordinary feats that seem to defv physical laws, which the Chinese attribute to the cultivation of "Chi," roughly translated as "inner strength" or 'life energy." The cast numbers 15 persons, 6 of whom are dancers. In the past eight vears tours have taken them through all of South American, Central American, Southeast Asia, South Africa, England, Canada and the United States. " 1" J5F" The Chinese Magic Circus of Taiwan will appear at Southern Utah State College on Sept. 28 at 8 p.m. in the Quad if weather permits, if not it will be held in the fieldhouse. This event is sponsored by the Cedar City Music Arts Committee and by Southern Utah State College. This will be the first time the Taiwan group has ever been performed in Cedar City. The Company on tour across Canada and the Western United States is a specially designed smaller group to accommodate ac-commodate the need and interest in such a group for smaller theatres, smaller stages and many smaller cities and university campuses, which could not otherwise handle a 75 member company on tour. The Chinese Magic Circus of Taiwan offers more than a glimpse into the fascinating Orient. It consists of sensational acrobatics and the magic of the East.
