Both students and teachers are on the loose to enjoy a cool dip or perhaps an overnight campout. At any rate, summer activities need to be planned, and Cedar City's elementary students have their plans already mapped out. This week the Iron County Record wanted to find out what these energetic elementary students had in mind for summer activities. The question was: "What do you plan to do this summer once you get out of school?" Wes Heap, fifth grade: "I'm going to play baseball and go on vacations." Brady Mendenhall, kindergarten: "I'm going swimming, and I'm going riding in my daddy's diesel. Robin Coburn, fifth grade: "I'm going to go on a trip with my dad, and then I'm going to swim. That's all. Well, maybe not, because I'll probably babysit too." Wade Webster, fifth grade: "I'm going to play baseball, go to the mountain, go swimming and ride my motorcycle. That's about it." Beverly Parry, first grade: "Play out back, and maybe we're going to be going swimming up to California in my uncle's swimming pool." Eric Garrett, forth grade: "I'll be playing a lot of baseball, and I'll be going out to the dikes to hunt. I'm going to have fun and have lots of parties." Angie Mendenhall, third grade: "I'm going to be in gymnastics." Ricky Pete, second grade: "I'm going fishing and camping." |
