Show Anna Benson ANNA LAURA BENSON, 90, died Apr. 3, 1981, in the Iron County Rest Home in Parowan. She was born Feb. 4, 1891, in Parowan to John Logan and Sally Hyatt Lowder. She married Joseph Benson on July 13, 1915, in Parowan. The marriage was solemnized in the St. George LDS Temple. He preceded her in death. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Survivors include one brother and two sisters: Clair Lowder of Parowan; Mrs. Auneta Bigler of Los Angeles, Calif.; and Mrs. Camilla Patterson of San Diego, Calif. Funeral services were held Monday at 1 p.m. in the Parowan Third LDS Ward chapel with Bishop Reed Orton officiating. Prelude ;- and postlude music were rendered by Vyonne Chamberlain. Family prayer was offered of-fered by Gary Bentley. Brenda Adams, Frankie Lou Bentley and Merna Mitchell sang "God's Other Room" and "End of A Perfect Day." They were accompanied by Vyonne Chamberlain. Ken Joseph and Richard Benson offered prayers. Jean Hen-drickson Hen-drickson gave an eulogy, and Bishop Reed Orton gave closing remarks. Laurel Matheson sang "Just A Closer Walk With Thee" accompanied by Vyonne Chamberlain. Dedication of the grave was given by Verl Taylor in the Parowan City Cemetery. Services were under the direction of the Boyer Southern Utah Mortuary. |
