Show Entrance Fees Collected at Bryce Bryce Canyon National Park will begin collecting entrance fees: this week according to Superintendent Bob Benton. There has been no increase in fees and a private vehicle may still enter the park for a $2 daily fee. Non-commercial vehicles may also obtain the $10 Golden Eagle pass which covers yearly entrance fees at all National Park Service areas. A free Golden Age entrance pass is available to all persons over the age of 62. Superintendent Benton noted that all fees collected at Bryce Canyon and other federal fee areas are depostied in the Land and Water Conservation Fund. This . fund finances state and federal conservation and recreation projects. This year Utah will receive over three million dollars from the fund. All main park roads and viewpoints will be open by May 1st with the exception of the Rainbow Point road. Water and sewage facilities at the campground will be available as soon as the danger of freezing weather is past. Camping fees will continue at $2 per night this year. Bryce Canyon Lodge will begin operations on May 19th. Motels and restaurants outside the park are open all year. |
