Show Scott Freeborn breaks Region Record If L2 f 1 Parowan High School boys tracks team won third in the Region meet at SUSC last week following cloasely behind Beaver, Kanab was the winner with 104 points followed by Beaver with 89 and Parowan with 80. Parowan's mile relay team performed extremely well with Wade Adams, Doug Hermansen, Scott Freeborn and David Evans setting a new region record in the event. Scott Freeborn also set a new region record in the 400 meter run, breaking the record held by Arlin Sawyer of Panguitch. The mile relay record broken was also held by a team from Panguitch. Freeborn also took second in the pole vault. David Evans placed 2nd in the 100 and 200 meter dashes and was also a member of the 400 meter relay team that placed third in the region. Other, team members mem-bers were Wade Adams, Todd Cooper and Pat Benson. Benson almost pulled an upset in the 300 meter hurdles as he led Kanab's record holding Kris Glover until the last hurdle in the race. He finished a strong second. Wade Adams ran a third in the 400 meter dash and Dug Hermansen was second in the 800 meter run. Doug Rogerson placed sixth in the high jump. Eleven schools participated in the meet.
