Show We had rain Friday night, and fog-fog-fog on Saturday. What a down pour. On the 26th there was a pot luck going away party at the church for Lois and Jerry Windous and family. We were in Salt Lake for a doctor's appointment on Monday and got to look at 3 of the beautiful floats in the Days of 47 Parade. The time, works and thoughts that go into such an undertaking. under-taking. After the parade disbanded dis-banded at Liberty Park they go on display for a closer look. Austin and Arvilla took their 5th wheel trailer and have gone looking for big fish. Arvilla got it last year, so Austin better do it this year. Now that Bud and Jen Richardson Rich-ardson have retired, they go to Salt Lake a lot more, doctor appointments and to see their two gals, Nae and Donna and grandchildren, Brand! and Albert. They had an appointment this past week so up they went. Snake Valley Reunion on????? Pat and Owen Gonder and family hooked onto their trailer and headed out for a weeks camping. Where they end up is a good guess. The Rowley children have been doing some visiting up in Callao. Delbert Young has his oldest old-est granddaughter here from Salt Lake and they both are enjoying this summer. The riding and roping bunch were at it again Sunday Sun-day and they really do prac -tlce. Now they can do this stuff in Nevada and Utah for the prize monies and those fancy belt buckles. Jo Ann and Herb Bright drove up to Salt Lake so he could get his big truck and load out for a trip. JoAnn is our new postmaster and she finds it quite interesting. Went for a little back road ride and we saw a doe and her three beautiful fawns. Grandmothers should be protected! The ground should be softer and not so far down. After a rush to the hospital and an x-ray, the news: 2 broken ribs, black and blue spots and most important - injured pride, but Mollie Gonder is still tough and says she will heal in time, but oh, so many tender and sore places on the body. Kenny Tanner, Pat Gon-der's Gon-der's brother is here for the summer. Helping on a ranch is hot and real work. Ron Huntington, Frona's husband, has been here for a week and is putting up a nice porch for Mollie and Wayne Gonder. Frona and the kids are soon due from their home in Battle Mountain, Moun-tain, and then they travel to Oklahoma, so Ron can go to school for a week. The kids are staying here for their summer vacation. Have you got your "Good Stuff" set aside! The Snake Valley Lions swap meet on the 11th is going to be another an-other good one and if you donjt come over, just think of all the goodies you'llmiss. Course, Salt Lake and Pioche are good, but we try harder. Those railroad men from Salt Lake are invited in-vited to come also.
