Show USDA INCREASES MILK RATE IN' SCHOOLS Schools will receive increased in-creased payments for milk served under the special milk program, according to Assistant Assis-tant Secretary of Agriculture Carol Tucker Foreman. The new rate is in effect through June 30, 1980. The reimbursement rate has been increased from 6.75 cents to 7.75 cents per half pints served to children. Schools and institutions that elect to provide free milk will continue to be reimbursed reimburs-ed the full cost of each half pint served without charge to needy children.- |
