Show W ECHO I Vickie WhitingJ Carol Albrecnt was awarded awar-ded a $420.00 scholarship to Southern Utah State College Col-lege Tuesday, April 24, as the Milford Business Department De-partment participated in S.U.S.C.'s Vocational day. Milford teams took several first places to dominate the day. Glen Thompson received a 3rd place and a superior super-ior rating in the typewriting I contest. The Milford High School Typewriting II team placed First. Members of the team were: Carol Albrecht, Gina Banks, Rollo Sears, Denny Myers. On an individual basis, Carol Albrecht placed 2nd in Type n. The Type I Team placed second with Glen Thompson, Debbie Heath, Brenda Rob-bins Rob-bins and Jesse Rowley as team members. Team Members Kerrl Prodzinski, Marilee Baldwin and Kathy Birdsong captured a first place in the spelling spel-ling contest. The Shorthand I, Team A, took a team first and Individuals Indi-viduals Elaine Long, Excellent, Excel-lent, Gina Banks, Honorable Mention, Kris Sherwood, Superior Su-perior and Norma Thompson Thomp-son received a First Place and a Superior rating. The Shorthand I Team B brought home a third place award as a team. Individual Indivi-dual honors were won by Kathy Birdsong, third, and Lori Jacobson, who received re-ceived an excellent rating. Other team members were Cammie Barnes and Lee-Ann Lee-Ann Hiatt. One thing can surely be said, Milford High School business department is f really working hard. Student body officers for the 1979-80 school year are President Sherman Sullivan; vice president, Darin Mai- chus; Secretary, Gina Dalton Dal-ton and Advertising Manager, Mana-ger, Gina Banks. We would like to congratulate these people. Weber State College will be presenting an Assembly Thursday, May 3, in the high school auditorium at 1 p.m. |
