Show Relief Society concert excellent entertainment The combined ward Relief Re-lief Society choirs of the Beaver Stake presented a sparkling Spring Concert on Thursday, April 26th in the Mllford LDS Chapel. They also performed Friday and Saturday evenings in Ml-nersville Ml-nersville and Beaver. The narrated concert dealt with the theme, "A Womans World," and some old favorites favor-ites were sung, such as "Annie "An-nie Laurie" and "To A Child", along with some new but attractive numbers such as "The Influential Circle". Clara Carter conducted the choir, which was accom -panied by Linda Robinson, both of Beaver. Vioin accompaniment ac-companiment was provided by Janice Wright, and Dave Berger played for Jilene's ' flute solo. Preceedlng the concert, the Cultural Hall was the center of Relief Society mini -course displays. The multl -talents of the Beaver County ladies spanned many areas including sewing, patchwork, quilting, painting pain-ting and sketching, genealogy, gene-alogy, crocheting, and wood refinishlng, to name a few. The cooking display alone featured whole wheat goodies, techniques of sprouting, and free samples sam-ples of homemade tortillas, wheat chili and yogurt. The only negative comments com-ments about the entire evening eve-ning were dismay at the number of people who missed the event. |
