Here he puts the milkers on as his partner turns in another batch. Feed is automatically dropped into each stall every few minutes by an automatic timer. The Pearsons are milking about 190 cows twice a day. Most of the dairies are averaging around 55 pounds of milk per cow. Each cow gets cleaned up before the milking machine is attached, and the stalls are washed down between each batch. |
