Show I Well, the Beavers have done it again! CoachAlMar-shall CoachAlMar-shall has them knocking on the door of the state cham -pionship, with just one more game to put away. Much of Beaver County will be at Rice Stadium Saturday Sat-urday to watch them finish the job. -flit's their eighth state championship game in nine years and they'll be trying to bring home the golden trophy tro-phy for the fifth time. Certainly, that's a record that Beaver and Minersville and all Beaver County can be proud of, and one that few schools can match. Beaver Boosters have purchased pur-chased space to cheer them on to victory elsewhere in this issue. The COUNTY NEWS will cover the game in Salt Lake and carry that coverage in next week's paper. -0- Had a fellow that finds the 55 mph speed limit cramping cramp-ing his style, make a comment com-ment the other day that is worth passing on. He suggested that President Presi-dent Carter, Gov. Matheson, and all others who are so outspoken in favor of the 55 mph limit, be confined for six months to the public highways. No matter where they go, or how urgent, they should have to travel as most of America does, at 55 mph on the highways. They would not be allowed to use helicopters, airplanes, trains or any other means of travel, except private cars at the 55 mph limit. -0- Betcha they'd all take an -other look at the double nickels. nick-els. The same is true with so many of today's laws. They're passed by people who are in a position to avoid them. We've got lots of nominations, but just saying, ' 'You ought to do a 'beautiful person' on so and so," isn't enough. Just note down a half dozen reasons why you think somebody some-body fits our 'beautiful person' per-son' mold, and pass it on. You'd be surprised how easy it is. We'll write it up so all you need are the facts as you see them. Carol Lemon says she's finding candidates for "Lemon Tree" scarce. Biggest Big-gest . problem is trying to schedule appointments. About the time she starts out the door for an inter-, view, a phone call puts it off. So give her a buzz, and then keep your appointment. 0- Loffland Rig 5 moved back into Roosevelt Springs this week, and rumor has it that another rig is on the way. Main Street can use a little boost to the economy, and some of the local boys who have been with the rig are glad to be home. Good to have them back. -0- Our beautiful person this week is Jay Gustaveson. Actually, Ac-tually, we've got to include Virginia, because where Jay goes, so goes Virginia. These two relatively newcomers new-comers to Milford have taken an active part in many organizations, or-ganizations, plus leading an energetic life at home. Their efforts in theMil-ford theMil-ford Historical Society, and particularly the Historical Park, have been invaluable.
