Show Wallace Dean ends career at Beaver high brarian while attending the BAC and Utah State. Mr. Dean is also responsible respon-sible for 6 industrial inventions; inven-tions; built and operated the first scoreboard at BHS; drew preliminary plans for the Milford and Beaver gym -nasiums; formed the first paper route in Beaver; designed de-signed and drew plans for four Beaver motels, a business busi-ness building, the government govern-ment office building in Pan-guitch Pan-guitch and 30 homes in Beaver Bea-ver and Richfield. He also constructed the present KBBD Radio Station here at BHS, which has been in operation oper-ation for 27 years. He served as Librarian for 24 years; advised 10 Junior Proms and operated the sound and projectional systems sys-tems for 34 years, and serv- Mr. Wallace R. Dean participated par-ticipated In his final official exercise Wednesday as a faculty member of Beaver High School. His 38 years of dedicated service to the educational system terminated termi-nated at the graduation ceremony cere-mony Wednesday evening, May 25th. Mr. Dean has brought much recognition to his students and Beaver High School. Many young men are working in the fields of draft -lng and radio electronics who were motivated from his programs at Beaver High School. His Industrial Arts Projects have yielded many sweepstakes, superiors and 1st place winners in state competition. He is a graduate of Beaver Bea-ver High School and a graduate grad-uate of Branch Agricultural College of Utah State University. Uni-versity. He named the Literary Liter-ary Magazine at BAC and also served as the night li- Wallace Dean ed four times as president of Region 9 Industrial Arts Association. As-sociation. He has instructed Jr. High English, Jr. High Science, Jr. High Social Studies, Art, Radio, Industrial Arts, Drafting and Power Mechanics. Me-chanics. He was nominated for Utah Teacher of the Year in Industrial Education in 1972. Mr. Dean is the epitome of an authentic human being; a sincere and dedicated educator. |
