Recreation director Monty Lee and Councilman Pettey have worked out a program that Includes tennis and golf instruction, physical fitness and senior citizen activities. Tennis and golf tournaments tourna-ments are planned for July 4th and a full schedule of super-star events is planned for July 23rd. The swimming pool will be open on June 1st, barring un-forseen un-forseen problems, and swim ming lessons will begin around the 20th of June. The lessons to be taught will depend de-pend upon the interest shown. Coach Lee urges groups or individuals who wish to pursue special activities to contact him either for help in getting a program started or to reserve community facilities. Tues-Thur. 16 & Older 10-1 la.m. Tues-Thur Physical Fitness 14 & Older 7:30-9:30 p.m. MWF Senior Citizens 11-12 noon MTWTF The July 4th tournaments will be for those in the golf and tennis classes. Anyone interested in the above instruction in-struction or activities should register at the swimming pool after June 1st. Classes are to begin on June 6th. |
