He is a member mem-ber of the Home Teaching Committee of the Church General Board, and enjoys the distinction of being the only LDS Youth Chaplain in the church. He grew up in Rigby, Idaho, and received his education there and at BYU and the University of Utah, where he specialized in youth counseling coun-seling and child psychology, and in business administration. administra-tion. The 34-year-old Mr. 01-sen 01-sen is married and the father of five children. He states that his life goals are to raise a good, active LDS family, and to continue to serve the youth of the church and the nation. He hopes to establish several boys homes and ranches as well as continue on in the many and varied activities in which he is now engaged. Beaver Stake Seminary graduation will be held the evening of May 18th at 8:00 pjn. in the Beaver 2ndWard Chapel. Young people graduating grad-uating from both the Milford and Beaver seminaries will participate in the Joint exercise. exer-cise. Featured speaker for the event will be Brother Ross L. Olsen, President and founder of Youth Developmental Develop-mental Enterprises, a major recruiting agency for several pineapple companies In Hawaii. Ha-waii. Mr. Olsen and his staff provide a unique and rewarding reward-ing workexperienceforthou-sands workexperienceforthou-sands of teenagers who they recruit to work in the pineapple pine-apple fields each summer. Though the youth must meet high moral and personal standards of conduct, he reports re-ports that literally thousands of applications are received each year. "Our only problems prob-lems are screening them properly," he says. Mr. Olsen Is also a successful suc-cessful businessman and author, and devotes much of his time to volunteer and civic activities. He serves as a Utah State youth pro- R0SS OLSON bation officer, on the Salt Lake County Juvenile Court Advisory Council, and as a volunteer counselor for young Inmates at the Utah State Prison.
