Show Arts councils to hold workshop seminar in Beaver Representatives of com -m unity arts councils will gather in the courthouse here Saturday for a workshop and seminar in "Sponsorship in . the Community" hosted by the Beaver CountyCivic Arts Council, presented by the Utah State Division of Fine Arts and conducted by the Western States Arts Founda- . tion. Frank Jacobson and Nello McDanlel, performing service ser-vice directors of the founda- tion, will handle the seminar which, according to Lyn Waring of th Utah State Division Divi-sion of Fine Arts, "will involve in-volve discussions and the use of problem -solving techniques tech-niques to deal with areas of concern as identified by the participants." This will be the second in a series of workshops provided pro-vided by the Division's Com -m unity Outreach Program, she said. Others include "Organizational Structure Development," "Grants-manship," "Grants-manship," "Local Promotion," Promo-tion," "Fund-raising" and A dm inistrative Develop -ment." Sharon Olpin of the Beaver Bea-ver County arts council expressed ex-pressed pleasure at being able to host the meeting. "This is the first meeting of this type to take place outside of Salt Lake City," she pointed out. "Many of the community arts councils are from the southern part of the state and I believe we will have their full participation." |
