It was held at the Chandelier Reception Center. Also attending from Mllford were Mr. and Mrs. Carl Boyter and family, Mr. and Mrs. Don Young and family, Mrs. Euzella Thomas, Thom-as, and Mrs. Virginia Gil-11ns. Gil-11ns. Mr. and Mrs. Milton Pool spent Friday and Saturday in St. George. While there, they attended funeral services ser-vices for Mr. L. Jay Nelson, Nel-son, a long-time friend. Mr. Nelson and his family resided re-sided in Milford for several years while he was Road-master Road-master for the UPRR. The Pools were able to visit for a short time with the family, his wife, and their four married mar-ried children. Mrs. Sade Griffiths has returned from Tempe, Ariz, after spending the winter there with her son, Bill and family. Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Griffiths drove down to get her. Mrs. Dorothy Terry spent the weekend in Payson and Eureka with sisters-in-law, Mrs. Virgy Bradford and Jane Gasser. While Frank Thompson is on the mend in the hospital, he has been visited by his daughter, Car lie Orten of Henderson, Nevada, grandson grand-son Dennis Orten of Cedar City, and Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Mapes. Chucky and Leanda Ter- came to attend the Junior Prom and visit Charlotte's family. A bridal shower in honor of DeAnn Johnson was given by Lorraine Holm, Lorl Johnson, and Mary Coon at the home of Mr. and Mrs. DeLane Johnson, Thursday, April 14th. Attending were: grandmother, Dora Johnson, grandmother, Mrs. Elaine Neilsen and Lisle Neilsen, of Beaver; Gail Ann Tophan and Brenda Hart of Cedar City; future mother-in-law, Waima Holm, Rene, Arlene and Chellie Craw ofMiners-ville; ofMiners-ville; future aunt, Iris Wil-lyard; Wil-lyard; Veda Cox, and many school friends. They made a lovely Bride's Book, and refreshments were served. Mrs. Helen Cook spent a few days recently visiting her daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Oman of Hinckley, Utah. The Ernest Barlocher reunion re-union was held here Saturday, Satur-day, April 9th. Attending were: Mr.andMrs.ReedGil-lins; Mr.andMrs.ReedGil-lins; Mr. and Mrs. Roy Myers; Mr. and Mrs. Leo Barlocher and family; Mr. and Mrs. Harold Singleton and daughter, Sharon, from Enterprise, Utah; Mr. and Mrs. Roger Myers and family, fam-ily, Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Ap-plegate Ap-plegate and family, all from Salt Lake City; Mr.andMrs. Neil Bradshaw and family and Mr. and Mrs. Norm and Thompson and family. They all went to Rock Corral for an Easter picnic. They had a very enjoyable day. ry recently returned from Bend, Oregon where they visited Leanda 's family and did some slghtseeingas well. The flu bug hit Olive Root while she was visiting daughter daugh-ter Margaret and grandchildren, grandchil-dren, Karl and Margo Mc-Knight Mc-Knight in Taylorsville, and they brought her home to Milford where she was joined by son Maurice and wife Janet Jan-et for a few days. Wally Fotherlngham's brother, Farrell and wife Dorothy, drove up from Woodland, Calif, to spend Farrell's birthday. While here they also visited the Mitch Fishers and the Bob Tomsiks, as well as several friends in the hospital. Bea Oxley is enjoying a week's visit from daughter A manda and her little Erin. Tim Fisher and fiancee Diane Seeley of Orem have been rendezvousing in Milford Mil-ford so often that they are considered a welcome part of the town, but this time they were joined by Diane's sister, Brenda, also of Orem, plus Tim's children, Jeff and Missy. Baby boy Kristen Carl Fisher was born April 18 at Utah Valley Hospital to Rob and Rhonda. The 8-12 pounder will join parents in their Orem home. That makes 17 grandchildren for Mitch and Beth Fisher now. Jesse Perkins was at home over the Easter weekend visiting vis-iting with his father, Mr. Jesse Perkins and family. He lives and works in Salt Lake. Zions National Park received re-ceived a picnic visit from Dennis and Bonnie Hardy, their children, and Bonnie's sister, Sharon Sanders and boy Jayson; other relatives joined the fun. Twenty-five friends of Jeremy Hardy, son of Bonnie Bon-nie and Dennis Hardy, helped celebrate Jeremy's 4th birthday with a party at the park. Mr. Jesse Perkins also, received a visit from son David and Janet Perkins of Vernal, Utah. Pat Bean, editorwriter from Utah State University, was in Milford on April 18th to do stories for the news media on the SNAP Program. LaRee Stewart, local volunteer, volun-teer, showed her around town and met with several of our senior citizens. Mrs.. Bean commented it was a marvelous marve-lous opportunity for her to learn about the area and meet some delightful people. Did you know that Milford's own John (Bus) Hardy is included in-cluded in Lula Bretensen's book, 'Butch Cassidy My Brother?' He has access to a picture and information concerning this unique outlaw out-law (who was born in Beaver Bea-ver and visited Milford at least once!) and Bus's name and the picture appear in the book. The book is on sale at the COUNTY NEWS. Ken and Sarah Myers went with Ken's brother, Gene, to Nehalem, Oregon to visit sons, Larry and Blake, and their families. They were gone for three weeks, which was "too long", according to Sarah. They hope to stay home for awhile now. Vilate Lang spent Easter in Salt Lake and Ogden visiting visit-ing Hubert Smith and family, daughter, Mrs. Mel Stevens, and family, and Elden Cowan and family. She will be spending time in Hurricane ' with brother, Woodrow Jep-Json Jep-Json and wife, this week. Glad to see Tom James back out of the hospital so was another Easter visitor to Milford. Mr. and Mrs. Dale Anderson And-erson from Magna, visited Mr. and Mrs. Jay Gustave-son Gustave-son over the weekend. Betty and John Jiminez entertained Mr. and Mrs. Luis Jiminez, Jr. and son, Mark, of Las Vegas, who came to visit John's ailing father. Mr. and Mrs. Ricky Roche, Brad Hanson, Marlin Jensen, and Coach Monty Lee all enjoyed a dinner at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Neilsen Neil-sen over Easter. Mr. and Mrs. Sheldon Al-brecht Al-brecht are delighted with their new grandson, Robert Lee Albrecht, Jr., who was born April 12 in Cedar City. A picnic in the mountains among the cedar trees was enjoyed by Norm and Dixie Lamb, children, Camilleand Norman D., Arbiteen Davis, and Mr. and Mrs. Ted Bridge and family. After an exciting but fruitless fruit-less evening spent searching for something to do, Herb and Janet Heer finally settled set-tled for "tube steaks" at home and a guitar serenade by talented Herb. They are closing their market and Herb will now be the custodian of the LDS Church. Mrs. Caroline Hatch enjoyed en-joyed a brief visit from son, Lynn, and family, who also quickly and just as cheerful cheer-ful as ever. Mr. and Mrs. Orion Mem -mott had son, Jan, and wife, Ann, and baby, Jennifer, from Cedar for Easter. They also recieved a call from son, Roger, in Cincinnati, Ohio, informing them of his call into the Bishopric there. Mr. and Mrs. Lester Williams Wil-liams enjoyed a visit from son, Maurice, and wife, two children and two stepchildren. step-children. They came all the way from Clinton, Mis -souri, after an absence of seven years. Daughter, Donna, Don-na, and Alden Hardy of Granger also visited over the weekend. Miss Amy Thompson of Glenwood spent her school holiday in Milford with Mr. and Mrs. Mac Thompson, along with Mrs. Lillian Fotheringham of Cedar City (who also visited with Mr. and Mrs. Jack Davis), and Mr. andMrs. Robert Thompson Thomp-son and children, also of Glenwood. - Have you ever played 'Steal the Sticks'? It's an old but wild family custom at the annual Graff family reunion re-union in St. George. Mr. and Mrs. Gary Sullivan and family, and Monty Lee, stole their share of sticks at the Snow Canyon site of the reunion. re-union. Mrs. Leah Pullem was very proud of grandson, Dave, who won the pole vault at the track meet recently.
