The Minersville Senior Citizens went touring last Wednesday. They visited Big Rock Candy Mountain south of Richfield, and other places in that area. Emma Jane Davis has just returned home from Salt Lake where her husband, Dan, was operated on. MINERSVILLE WARD SACRAMENT MEETING The Minersville Ward pre -sented an outstandingSacra-ment outstandingSacra-ment meeting Sunday, April 17, at 6 p.m. Conducting was counselor Kent Marshall. The music was furnished by Eleanore Marshall and Shirley Hol-lingshead. Hol-lingshead. Chad Hollingshead and parents, Marshall and Nellie Hollingshead, gave very good talks, and a special musical number was performed by Chad's sisters. Chad has just returned home from a successful mission in Bel-glum Bel-glum and France. Prayers wer given by Ken -neth and Neil Hollingshead. "Food for Thought" Your opinion of others is apt to be their opinion of you." Visiting at the home of Lee and LaNea Marshall over the weekend was their daughter Lacy. Lacy works and lives in' Cedar City. Suzy Kelsey, daughter of Bill and Kay Kelsey, celebrated cele-brated her 3rd birthday on Monday, April 18. She held a birthday party that morning morn-ing at her home for all of her little friends. Games were played and refreshments refresh-ments served. A family dinner party was held by Rachel Eyre for her husband, Rulon, on his birthday, birth-day, Saturday, April 16th. Those who attended were: Bill and Lettie Gibson, Thur-man Thur-man and Erma Eyre, Garold and Marybelle Eyre, Dale and Carla Eyre, Gerry and JoAnn Eyre, and Larry and Carolyn Maycock. A turkey dinner was served and everyone eve-ryone had a very enjoyable time. Happy birthday, Rulon. Josh Marshall, son- of this correspondent and husband Chris Marshall, celebrated his 2nd birthday on Friday, April 15th. Visiting at the home of Marshall and Nellie Hollingshead Hol-lingshead this weekend were: Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Harding, Hard-ing, Cedar City; Mr. and Mrs. Neil Hollingshead, Monroe; Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Hall, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Berg and daughter Charlotte and Mrs. Enid Watkins of Heber City; Mr. and Mrs. Stewart Johnson and family of Aurora. They all visited for Chad's homecoming. Visiting over the weekend at the home of Howard and Gwen Pryor was their daughter, Gaye and husband Dee and family. Rex and ReNea Williams and Jill Albrecht visited on Sunday at the home of ReNea and Jill's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Milton Albrecht. On Monday, April 11th, Doug and Susan Albrecht had to amke a quick trip to Salt Lake. On Easter weekend Doug had received an injury to his eye. He had to have minor surgery and is home and doing fine now. Relief Society homemak-ing homemak-ing day was held on Tuesday, April 12th, at 10 a.m. Quilting, Quilt-ing, embroidery and macra-me macra-me were participated in by all those attending. Lunch was served at noon. The menu was hot dogs, sauerkraut sauer-kraut salad and dessert. Everyone Eve-ryone had a very enjoyable time. Coy and Joleen Roberts of Oregon, with their sons, Dan, Don and Tom, visited in Minersville last Thursday Thurs-day and Friday with Ross and Eleanore Marshall. Dan entered the mission home on Saturday. He will be fulfilling ful-filling a mission to Old Mexico. Mex-ico. We all wish Dan lots of luck and success. Mrs. Phyllis Truman and daughter Colleen were in Salt Lake City visiting with members of their family. On Sunday, Mr. and Mrs. Robin Bradshaw were here visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Max Carter. Carly Eyre and Gene Carter Car-ter attended the track meet in Fillmore on Friday. Mrs. Lois Pierson is in Calif, this week attending Market Week and visiting with relatives. These men have been or- |
