Show MILFORD VALLEY HOSPITAL SHOWS PROFIT IN 1974 The Milford Valley Memorial Me-morial Hospital delegates heard the hospital accountant, account-ant, Ted Stagg, give the hospital hos-pital a clean bill of health and said that it was in the best shape of any hospital he knew of in Utah. Stagg handed out a pamphlet pam-phlet that showed the hospital hospit-al showed a profit of $21,-361 $21,-361 for the year. He credited credit-ed the staff for an efficient job. Zeke Hickman and Jim Sherwood were elected to serve on the board from the Milford area and Phyllis Truman from Mlnersvllle. The profit was a velcome surprise after several years of operating at a loss. Hospital Administrator, John Maxey, said the hospital hospi-tal had purchased a walk-In freezer during the year, and that the ESA Sorority had helped the hospital out with a $900 donation for a bed pan sterilizer for the geriatrics ger-iatrics ward. He said the staff had foregone fore-gone an annual raise last year, but were given an across-the-board 10? per hour raise when the new minimum min-imum wage went into effect. They also received a 9 boost in pay in December. Annual payroll is approximately approxi-mately $164,000. The biggest big-gest factor in the financial statement was a $91,000 increase in-crease in inpatient care. |
