Phyllis Truman was in Salt Lake over the weekend visiting visit-ing her children there. Mr. and Mrs. John Warner, Warn-er, Mrs. Norma Lott, and Mrs. Ellen Warner, of Portland, Port-land, Ore. and Poulsbo, Wash., visited with their sisters, sis-ters, Eulalia Davis and with Guardell and LaRue Banks over the weekend. They were here to attend the funeral of their brother, Stanley Beaumont Beau-mont of Beaver. Visitors at the home of Al and Theone Mosher over the weekend was their son, Gordon, Gor-don, and his fiancee, Adele Olsen of Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Ruben Dot-son Dot-son announce the birth of a grandson born on Jan. 29 to Nick and Colleen Dotson of Beaver. The maternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Bill Firmage of Beaver. Beav-er. Debra Hanley celebrated her birthday Friday night by having a party for her friends. Janice Wood, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Grant Wood Mr. and Mrs. Billle Davis announce the birth of a grandson, born Jan. 29th to Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Terry in Salt Lake. Sunday visitors of Kent and Lois Carter were their daughters, Linda Black and family, Cedar City; Glenna White and family, Beaver; and Donetta from Salt Lake. Ronnie and Janet Carter had as Sunday visitors, Janet's Jan-et's folks from Paragonah, Mr. and Mrs. KayLamoreax and Diane, also Randy and JoAnne Lamoreax from Par -owan and their son Sean. There were quite a few relatives and friends attending attend-ing the funeral services for Stanley Beaumont on Thursday Thurs-day In Beaver. Russell Albrecht, son of Mr. and Mrs. Milftoh Al brecht, was chosen as the 'Preferred Man' at the Sweetheart Ball on Friday night. His attendants were Kelly Bradshaw and Gary Gillins. The Sweetheart was Mary Ann Myers and her attendants at-tendants were Jeri Lowe and Francis Marshall. Severely Craw was home from her teaching in Manti to visit her parents, Jack and Lorna Craw, over the weekend. Neal and Helen Davis had all their children home over the weekend. They were Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Davis and family of Bountiful, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Blake and family, Granger, Mr. and Mrs. Clark Davis and family of Pleasant Grove, Jackie Davis and a friend, Robert, Paas of Salt Lake, Mr. and Mrs. Richard of Ne w York, and a student at BYU, spent the weekend visiting her grandparents, Floyd and Beulah Wood. Mr. and Mrs. Milt Jolley returned from an LDS mission mis-sion in So. America. A few widows met at the home of Nettie Myers Wednesday Wed-nesday afternoon for a pot-luck pot-luck luncheon. After lunch the rest of the afternoon was spent in just visiting. Horace and Madge Carter have returned home after spending the past few months in Calif, visiting their children. of Salt Lake stopped overnite to visit their children, Wayne and Merle Gillins and Tex and Vie Marshall'. The couple were on their way to Calif. Larry and Mary Beth Bailey Bail-ey were in Salt Lake a few days on business. Mr. and Mrs. Burnell Lamb and family and Mr. I. H . Lamb of Henderson, Nev. visited during the week with Delmer and Ilene Gray. Sunday afternoon in Fast and Testimony meeting there were three children confirmed con-firmed as members of the church. They were baptized Saturday evening. There were also two babies blessed and given names. The babies were a son of Ben and Glenna (Davis) Blake, he was blessed bless-ed and named Delbert Royal by his uncle, Bruce Davis; a daughter of Richard and Ranae (Murdock) Davis was blessed and named Keri Lynn by her uncle, Bruce Davis. Lynn Marie Charles, daughter daugh-ter of Don and Clara (Wood) Charles was confirmed a member of the church by Charles Jameson. Chet Ralph Pearson, son of Scott and Joyce (Myers) Pearson was confirmed by his grandfather, grand-father, Ralph Pearson. Eric Renee Gonzalas, son of Allen and Carman Dotson, was confirmed by his uncle, Floyd Wood. Sherrie Lynn Marshall, Provo, was home over the weekend visiting her parents, par-ents, Lee and Lynnea Marshall. Marsh-all. Ross and Eleanor Marshall Marsh-all attended the A.S.C.S. Convention in St. George on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. - Visitors at the home of Howard and Gwen Pryor during dur-ing the past week were Eloise Murdock and Edith Armstrong, Arm-strong, Cedar City; Pat Williams, Wil-liams, St. George; Dick and ' Betty Pryor, Reno, Nev.; and Norma Lirrib of Ely, Nev. Brose Dalton of Mesa, Ariz, also visited them. He also visited with his brother, Bill and Margaret Dalton. The Beaver Stake High Priests held a potluck supper at the Minersville Elementary Elemen-tary School Thursday evening. eve-ning. A large crowd was in attendance. Mrs. Cassie McKnight of Salt Lake has been visiting her sisters, Daisel and Wil-ma Wil-ma Davis, Goldie and Hilda Marshall, in town for a week or so. , .
