Show State Receives $2,404,921.16 From BLM Land Leases The State of Utah has received re-ceived a check for $2,404, -921.16 from the U.S. Department Depart-ment of the Interior's Bureau Bur-eau of Land Management. Paul L. Howard, BL M state director for Utah, said the check was the regular semi -annual payment for the state's share of SLM mineral leasing receipts between July 1 andDecember 1, 1974. By provisions of the Mineral Leasing Act of 1920, the state receives 37.5 percent of bonuses, bon-uses, royalties and rentals received from BLM-admin-istered lands within the state. The total BLM paid to the state treasurey for calendar year 1974 was $5,608,575.22. In addition to the money ( paid to the state treasury, a check for $1,333.38 has been sent by the bureau to the Garfield County Treasurer, Treas-urer, Mr. Howard added. This check represents 25 percent of BLM receipts during 1974 from lands acquired ac-quired by the federal government gov-ernment under the Bank-head-Jones Farm Tenant Act. |
