This honor roll has been determined by a point system whereby each letter grade is assigned points, with A equaling 11 points, A- 10 points, etc. In order to qualify qual-ify for the honor roll, grades must average 9 points or bet ter. Grades received In such classes as teacher's aid, media, P.E., seminary, drill team and work release are not Included In the computation. compu-tation. Those achieving this honor during the second quarter were, Seniors; Raquel Banos, Ban-os, Cheri Hiatt, Doug Mayer, May-er, Jim Raines, Shanna Walker, Gina Davie, Courtney Court-ney Davis, Cheryl Jones. Juniors; Charlene Jones, Cindy Jones, Mark Short, Julie Albrecht, Rose Marie Davie, Lois Price, and Mary Stewart. Sophomores; Debbie Deb-bie Rairlgh, Mitchell Beal-er, Beal-er, and Marianne Wlsner. Freshmen; Mlchell Fisher, Jannette Jones, Linda Sullivan, Sulli-van, Cindy Jimenez, Louis Prodzinskl, Pam Stoddard, Annette VanTassell. Eighth grade; Carol Albrecht, Ruth Davis, Dennis Myers, Kenneth Ken-neth Jones; and seventh grade, Debra Brlnkman and Janet Davis. The purpose of the honor roll Is to give special recog nition to students in Milford High School who are exceptional excep-tional academic achievers, and to encourage others to greater achievement. The News has achieved results at last after a five-year effort ef-fort to publish these honor students. However, if publishing pub-lishing and emphasizing grades and high academic achievement produces arguments, argu-ments, bickering, and general gen-eral dlsatlsfactlon or cheating, cheat-ing, the practice will be discontinued. |
