Show This Week in MINERSVILLE as reported by G WEN PRYOR Mr. and Mrs. Mart Davis were happy to receive word this week of a new garndson, born in California to their son in law and daughter, Donald and Evelyn Munlc. The young man weighed in at 8 lbs and is the first child for the couple. e Mrs. Alta Kelsey visited in Salt Lake last week with her daughter and grandson, Kerma Lou Kent and Eric. Robert Craw, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Craw, enjoyed a birthday dinner party celebrating celebrat-ing his ninth birth date, last Friday, Feb. 7th. Denice Wood, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Vern Wood, also enjoyed a birthday party last week. The young lady was 7 years old. Mrs. LaRue Thompson spent a week in Henderson, Nev., visiting her daughter and son in law, Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Giles and children. O Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Myers of Nehalem, Oregon, are visiting vis-iting here with Mrs. Ethel Myers and other relatives. Dodie Davis, small daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Heber Davis, enjoyed her second birthday with a party on Feb. 9th. Many little playmates celebrated with her. Mrs. Carla Mcintosh of Salt Lake is visiting her mother, Mrs. Augusta Marshall, who recently re-cently was released from the Beaver County Hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Leon Ashworth and sons of Ely, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Er-nest Johnson of Tooele and Mrs. Norma Aubrey of Salt Lake also visited their mother. 9 Literary Club was held at the home of Mrs. Emily Gil-lins Gil-lins Wednesday, Feb. 12. The book report was given by La-Nae La-Nae Marshall. 9 Minersville Ward Gold and Green Ball was held Tuesday, Feb. 11, in the church recre-tion recre-tion hall. "Three Coins in A Fountain" was the theme, with decorations following that theme. P.-T. A. was held Monday, Feb. 10 at the school. Mr. Lassiter, Beaver High student advisor and councilman, was guest speaker. Musical numbers num-bers and refreshments set off the evening. Mr. and Mrs. Don Hesling-ton Hesling-ton and sons of Bountiful are visiting here this week with Mrs. Lucy Williams and Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Heslington. Don, who has been seriously ill, is reported recovering satisfactorily. sat-isfactorily. Lorie Eyre, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Garold Eyre, enjoyed a birthday party on Feb. 5. She was 9 years old. |
