Show f MILFORD SooielF m Clubs THE FIVE HUNDRED club met Monday evening at the home of Mrs. Sofia Johnson. Prizes were won by Mrs. Lucille Lu-cille Raines, Mrs. LaVern Bunker Bun-ker and Mrs. Iola Carter. Other members present were Mrs. Essie Thompson, Mrs. Elva - -' Sedgwick, Mrs. Vernetta Mc-Knight Mc-Knight and Mrs. Magdalena White. A SURPRISE birthday party honoring Sally Williams was held at her home Wednesday, Aug'. 7th. Donald Munk planned plan-ned and supervised the games. Friends wishing Sally a happy hap-py birthday were Keith Chris-tensen, Chris-tensen, Roger Myers, Bryan Sherwood, Bobby Allen, Helen Jean GUlins, Sharon Thomas, Judy Horton, Terry Fisher, Denny Belliston, Paul McGinn, and sister Susan. MRS. LENA MORRIS had as her guests members of her bridge club last Friday evening. ' J Mrs. Theresa Pitchforth, Mrs. Nina Bingham, Mrs. Lettie Foth-eringham, Foth-eringham, Mrs. Hazel Baxter, Mrs. Flossie Rickerson and two invited guests, Mrs. Louree Moore of Salt Lake and Mrs. Lucile Raines, attended. Prizes were won by Mrs. Fotheringham, Mrs. Bingham, Mrs. Pitchforth and Mrs. Moore. . Keith Bush of Santa Monica, Calif., is visiting at the home of his father, Mr. and Mrs. George Bush. Keith will return to Santa Monica to enroll in school there this fall. Mr. and Mrs. Guardell Banks received word Saturday that a son was born to Mr. and Mrs. James DeMar Banks, Aug. 9th, weighing 7 lbs 9 oz. This is the first grandchild for Mr. and Mrs. Banks. Miss Nedra Boren of Circle-ville Circle-ville is at the home of her uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Guardell Banks. Steven Cartex, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dwight D. Carter, has been assigned to the 3358th Student Stu-dent Squadron at Chanute A F Base, Illinois, where he is studying study-ing to be a reciprocating engine mechanic in the Air Force. George A. Horton Jr. of Mil-lord Mil-lord received his Master of Science Sci-ence degree at the summer convocation con-vocation in the 82nd annual commencement at B Y U, Friday, Fri-day, August 16. Mr. and Mrs. E. C Romick and sons Bruce, Eddie and Russell, Rus-sell, of Whittier, Calif., visited over the week end with Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Killam, Mrs. John Killam, and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Rob-ert Killam. Mayor and Mrs. J. Vance Skinner and family of Ophir recently enjoyed a visit in Mil-ford Mil-ford with Mayor Skinner's sisters sis-ters and their families, Dr. and Mrs. Lloyd F. Kohler and Mr. and Mrs. Max Bracken. Dr. and Mrs. Lloyd F. Kohler Kohl-er returned last week from a two-week vacation trip to Reno, San Francisco, and the Bay area. Mrs. Stella Persons underwent under-went major surgery Aug. 8th in the Beaver County Hospital. |
