Show "Ship-Shape" Cake For Bon Voyage Party I . m For -the sail boat enthusiast or some lucky friend vacationing across the deep blue seas . . . give a "bon voyage" party. Feature the "sailing" motif in your decorations and for dessert serve this ship-shape cake. 5- i r . ! Figure No. 1 - K : '-J. i - -v. -WSJ . f f "- " t " 1 Gather the ingredients t A 9-inch square cake A batch of Butter Cream Frosting (to 13 of it add 1 square unsweetened chocolate, melted) 1 can (3-12 ounces) Baker's Angel Flake Coconut White candies Gumdrops How to put the ingredients together: 1. Make the cake . . . try the new chocolate-chip instant mix. 2. Cool baked cake and cut as follows: (See Figure No. 2) a. Cut diagonally in half to make two triangles. One section is for large sail. b. From second triangle cut a strip 2-14 inches wide. The strip is for hull of boat; the small triangle tri-angle for small sail. 3. Arrange pieces of cake to make boat. (See Figure No. 3) a. Spread white frosting over sails and chocolate frosting on hull. With chocolate frosting draw a line between the sails for a mast. 4. Finished boat (See Figure No. 1) Sprinkle coconut on sails. Place 4 white candies along hull for portholes. port-holes. Cut a gumdrop into anchor shape and put at front end of hull.
