Show TEACHERS LISTED FOR BEAVER COUNTY SCHOOLS CLASSES START SEPT. 3; XMAS VACATION IS FROM DEC. 20 TO JAN. 6 Classwork in Beaver County schools will begin Tuesday, Sept. 3, it was announced by Supt. D. R. Pearce this week. The school calendar, released at the same time, allows an extra day Monday, Oct. 21, for deer hunting, and a 17-day Christmas vacation, from Friday, Fri-day, Dec. 20, to Monday, Jan. 6. School closes May 23, with graduation exercises at Beaver set for Thursday, May 22, and at Milford for Friday, May 23. A new schedule for lunch room charges, which has been in effect in many other school districts, will feature a weekly week-ly ticket in both elementary and high schools, with extra charge when a ticket for a single meal is purchased. This system will enable the lunch room managers to plan and prepare the meals in a more satisfactory manner, assuring as-suring ample food at all meals and eliminating wasteful over-preparation. over-preparation. Prices will be 75c a week in the elementary schools, or 20c for an individual ticket; $1 in the high schools, or 25c for a single ticket.
