Show "v MILFORD Society Otubs Orrin Williams was honored on his 85th birthday Sunday Jan. 13th with an Open House given by his children. Over 140 relatives and friends called during the afternoon. Mr. Williams Wil-liams was hale and hardy and told everyone it was love, happiness hap-piness and contentment along with clean living and hard work that helped him to live eighty years young. The honored hon-ored guest received many cards, telegrams and g'i'fts from family fam-ily and friends, including several sev-eral lovely L.D.S- books. Dainty refreshments were served. Those present of his immediate family were Mr. and Mrs-Charles Mrs-Charles Williams of Idaho, Mr. and Mrs. Austin Williams of Garrison, Mr. and Mrs. Lester Williams, Mr. and Mrs. McCoy Williams, Mrs. Dan Feergerson of Milford, Mr. and Mrs. Dwain Williams, a grandson, were present and represented another an-other son, Mr. Art Williams of California. A number of his grandchildren as well as nieces and nephews attended the party and everyone wished him many returns of the day. Mrs. Jerry Msmmott entertained enter-tained her pinochle club Thursday, Thurs-day, Jan. 10. Prizes were won by Phyllis Price, Ann Bolton members enjoying the evening were: Joan Holland, Pat Johnson, John-son, Luella Fisher, and Margaret Mar-garet Arnold. Delicious refreshments refresh-ments were served by the hostess. UNITED IN MARRIAGE were Miss Sandra Johnson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Nils M. Johnson of Milford, and Mr. Harold Pederson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Neel Christiansen of Murray. The wedding -was solemn ized Jan. 4 at the Christiansen home, with the immediate family fam-ily attending. Mr. and Mrs. Delmer Kirk and Mrs. John-) son attended from Milford. The couple left for awedding trip to Los Angeles, stopping at Milford en route. An open house shower was held in honor hon-or of the new bride last Friday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Dan Ferguson. Mrs. Johnson and Mrs. Kirk assisted with the entertainment. The newlyweds will make their home in Salt Lake, where both are employed. The Am ircan Legion Auxiliary Aux-iliary of Milford will have - their Clothes drive for the Hungarian Refugees Friday and Saturday of this week. Call President, Jerry Kirk or Chairman Chair-man Ethel Smith and arrangements arrange-ments will be made to pick up the bundles. Those wishing to bring their bundles may bring them to the American Legion Club Room Sat. afternoon. Clothes must be wearable and shoes tied in pairs. Please remember re-member these clothes will be used at home as well as abroad. " ' Mrs. Florence Rickerson was very pleasantly surprised Friday, Fri-day, Jan. 11, by her friends and neighbors. She was entertaining entertain-ing her bridge club when the group crashed the party. The club prizes were won by Theresa Pitchforth, Lena Morris and Florence Rickerson. The evening was spent in playing play-ing cards with prizes going to Cora Altman, Laree Moore of Salt Lake and Ethel Smith at bridge. The pinochle prizes were won by Lois Altman, Essie Es-sie Thompson and Lillian Mel-lor. Mel-lor. Birthday cake and sher-bert sher-bert were served and Mrs. Rickerson received a number of nice gifts- Others enjoying the evening were: Cora Jones, Stella Persons, Jessie Williams and Annis Openshaw. A Pink and Blue Shower , honoring Mrs. Florence Woods of Minersville, was given Jan. 10th by her mother, Mrs. Theresa Ther-esa Pitchforth. The evening was spent in playing Bunco and enjoying TV. Prizes were won by Lillian Mellor, Sally Kil-am Kil-am and Cora Jones, with Ethel Smith drawing the house prize. The honored guest received re-ceived a number of lovely cards and gifts. The hostess served a deicious salad course assisted by Mrs- Florence Rickerson Rick-erson and Mrs. Afton Neilson. Other ladies present were: Essie Thompson, Florence Barnes, Ethel.
