Show Beaver Jaycees Have Full Schedule for Annual 'Jaycee' Week i "Jaycee Week" will be observed ob-served in Beaver at a series of meetings planned by the club, it was announced by Paul Nielsen, Niel-sen, Jaycee president. Evan Nielsen is general chairman of the week's activities. ....Sunday will be "Church Day" and a Jaycee speaker will appear ap-pear in all three wards. Topic of their talks will be "Service to Humanity" and "Civic Respon-siblity." Respon-siblity." On Mondy, all members of the organization will participate partici-pate in a one-day membership drive, under direction of Boob Osborne, chairman. Wednesday, Clint Smith will be in charge of a "Civics Day" observance. Officers and directors di-rectors of Beaver's service clubs will discuss joint projects for civic improvement at a dinner meeting. Wednesday night Beaver will host a regional Jaycee meeting at 8 p. m. at the Elite Cafe. Kanab, Cedar City, Milford and Beaver clubs will be represented, rep-resented, and Al Thompson of Cedar City, state vice president, presi-dent, will conduct the meeting. All new members are invited to attend- Thursday the past presidents and past vice presidents will meet In a special forum to discuss dis-cuss past achievements and future fu-ture programs. Also a part of Jaycee Week, but postponed until Feb. 2nd, is the annual D S A Banquet. Norman Muir and Dick Oak-den, Oak-den, cochairmen of this event, have planned a dinner meeting at which the Distinguished Service Award will be presented present-ed to the Beaver young man selected se-lected as most outstanding in service to the community; the Outstanding Young Farmer will be named and honored, and the Voice of Democracy winner win-ner and runner-ups will be presented. |
