Show Watkins Says Flood Projects Should Be Completed This Year Work plans for two Utah watershed flood prevention projects pro-jects should be completed during dur-ing 1957, Sen. Arthur V. Wat-kins Wat-kins has been informed. The projects include the 108,000-acre American Fork watershed on Dry Creek hi Utah County, and the 78,000-acre 78,000-acre Coal Creek Canyon watershed water-shed near Cedar City, Iron County. Planning of the Coal Creek Canyon project is 30 percent complete. It is being expedited with the hope for completion by early October. Sponsors of this project are the Iron. County Soil Conservation District, Iron County Water Shed Users Board, and the Coal Creek Irrigation Ir-rigation Company, supported by the Cedar City Livestock Association, As-sociation, and the Escalante Valley Cattle Association. |
